Mathematics 1

In the wake of what I deemed to be a rather successful attempt at the previous paper, I walked into the examination hall, blithely confident that I would at least garner a very comfortable pass. After all, I'd spent 5 days poring over the subject guide and examiner's report, doing the questions again and again. Nothing could overwhelm me, I was sure. I was well prepared.

And so, imagine the horror that welled inside of me when I realised that not a single question was of the like of any questions I'd ever practiced before. Complicated beyond compare, I could only complete 4-5 of the required 9 questions, and was still struggling over the rest when then time ran out.

And there you have it. An utter flop of the maths paper. Everyone else was complaining that this year's paper was exceptionally difficult, and as it turned out, many of the questions that I didn't know how to do were left untouched by my friends as well. But it's not much of a consolation for me, if you ask me. I'm suddenly unsure of my ability to pass...

Riding hard, fast, safely AND taking a few corners.
