Christmas 2006

I spent the first moments of Christmas mixing 4 servings of Nothing, 2 jugs of Long Island Tea, and tapping beer while impatiently brushing away at the helium-filled condom my bar captain tied to the beer tap. Whistles, cheers and simultaneous pops and cracks as party poppers went off in tandum told me that Christmas had finally arrived. And more importantly, that the 1 for 1 Midnight Madness was over, and that my break was due.

My mind is pretty much numb, having gone through the nonsensical litany that 'The Curse Of The Golden Flower' represents, and having spent almost half an hour searching for the bloody carpark (Vivocity's designers suck!). And so, I'm not going to recite everything we did today. You can find those details in her blog :)

But then, no matter how shag I am, I just can't help but keep exploring the gifts she gave me. She's so sweet lor...haha. I got 4 Christmas cards from her, the contents of which touched me deeply. She knew my wallet was ruining my cards, and got me a new one, along with a key pouch since I always carry so many keys around with me. And there's this huge box full of stuff, like a cloth pouch full of black sesame chocs (she bought lots of packets to fill that up, since each packet only came with one black sesame choc), a small bag of sparklers and folded paper stars, a bar of Hershey's white chocs, loveapple chocs, a snowman lollipop, a small scented bottle with a sweet note in it, a couple of sweet wallet cards, a Gambit poster, along with some stuff I recognise from her room (candles, her lanyard from SRC FOC with yet another sweet note in it, a keychain from Perth, her Crumpler tag and shredded wrappers to spruce up the box). So sweet right? Haha, thanks dear. Love the gifts. Love YOU for making so much effort to get me those gifts :)

Added to these I have a card and a wallet card from PJ, some snacks, candy cane and chocs from Jade and Sam Saimon and the barblade Jerry used to win his Barcardi Championship.

Still, the most important thing to me is that I managed to spend the entire day with her. Nevermind my fatigue. Nevermind being drenched in the rain. Nevermind the crowd, the traffic and the lack of movie slots. Everything just feels so right when I'm with her. I started off the day thinking of the song Pastor David wrote, feeling a little empty coz its really going to be hard to spend this Christmas with my family. And I ended it feeling so loved because of all the effort she put in. Thank you God, for her. Thank you Jesus, for dying on the cross for us all :) Love you :)

Spend your Christmas with your family
Spend your Christmas where you should be
For God so loved the world
He sent his only son
That forever we may be one family

You shouldn't be alone at this time of the year
Shouldn't be alone
When you have your friends to spread with you
The Christmas cheer
Shouldn't be alone

Riding hard, fast, safely AND taking a few corners.
