Torque and Ponies
My black SV400S.
399cc liquid cooled, 90° v-twin 4 stroke engine.
Produces 53 ponies (horse power for laymen) at 10500 rpmand 41nm of torque at
8k rpm.
And with this power, I managed to clear my meter at 190km/h. The feeling of the
landscape whizzing past you at this speed...is almost exhilirating. It'd probably feel
better at 260km/h when I'm riding my R6 though...the Shoei X-9 didn't even twitch
in spite of the wind, as compared to my OGK Aeroblade. Even when I turned my head
it didn't catch the wind. In comparison, the Aeroblade seems to want to change its name
to Aeroplane the way it tries to take wing into the wind...I can almost swear by Shoei
goods now...
Went to school in the morning to change my place. Turns out there ARE new contract
teachers coming in. They put one Sumiko Tan beside me....at first I thought she was
the reporter...then Shere found her friendster...turns out is this sporty girl who has
a commando boyfriend. Gee...wonder if moving was a good idea...near the door can
escape unnoticed...but then will be disturbed by the traffic.
Went to Singapore Poly to meet WeiZ and Alex...but turned out they were at the
Bird Park...so went down to find them and went into Johor via 2nd link, where
WeiZ brought us on a merry go round. I was way into my reserve and kept praying
that the fuel won't run out on me. Surprisingly, the bike ran into 350km with more
than a litre to spare...I only pumped 14+ litres and the max limit is 16 litres.
After that, tried out my top speed, and tried to do a burnout. Went to Holiday Plaza
where I spent some dosh on stickers for my helmet, then went to look for Ah Koon
at his new place, but he hadn't really shifted yet. Went to work out with MZ, had
kopi with him and Marcel, then went home. Tired...
Riding hard, fast, safely AND taking a few corners.
