Fallen Knight

I once took an online quiz regarding which member of the ancient hierarchy of nobility I belonged to. The little questionaiire involved queries on my general outlook on life, hypothetical questions on what I'd do if..., how I regard my peers and other folk around me, amongst others. And as it turned out, the results revealed that I was a knight. The ancient protector of the helpless, saviour of the damsel in distress, defender of the peace, champion of honour, the sword of justice. I couldn't help but think that this result, in most part, was accurate.

What medival Character are you?(with pics)

~HERO~You are brave and heroic you are good at helping people out of tight jams.
Take this quiz!

The Paladin

You scored 18% Cardinal, 43% Monk, 58% Lady, and 56% Knight!

You are highly moral but also don't shy away from using force if your lord commands it. You are honourable to the point that you would readily sacrifice yourself for a noble cause. Your name will be the subject of tales and song for generations, however their concentration will be less on your deeds in life as on your martyrdom.

You scored high as both the Knight and the Lady. You can try again to get a more precise description of the Knight or the Lady, or you can be happy that you're an individual.

This test tracked 4 variables. How the score compared to the other people's:
Higher than 14% on Cardinal
Higher than 45% on Monk
Higher than 86% on Lady
Higher than 78% on Knight

But a knight is meant to be full of purpose. And I seem to have lost all purpose. Even things I am hugely passionate about, like riding, seem to have lost their flavour. I ride simply for transport. I don't know how to please my girlfriend. I write nonsensical ramblings. My newly installed bar lies untouched. Like a fallen knight, living in disgrace somewhere, wandering in some foreign land in exile. A dark paladin. Suddenly, no aim, no townsfolk to defend, no damsel in distress to save, no justice to dispense. Just survival, living from day to day, routinely running through the barest essentials life prescribes. People with problems turn to me, but I find myself unable to help them as before. Friends ask me out for company, and I find myself unable to enjoy the proceedings as I once was able to. Like trudging down the beaten path of life, resigned to the fate life has consigned upon me. No longer defiant, no longer spirited. Defeated.

I wonder what I must to do get back this drive. To climb once more upon the high horse of honour and champion the causes I once did. To give to my sweet, sweet girlfriend what she deserves most of all. I never told you this before, dearest, because I didn't want you to be worried at a time where you are already so stressed and anxious about your own problems. Don't worry. I'll find a way to climb back up soon.

Riding hard, fast, safely AND taking a few corners.
