Night Life

Stayed home the whole day yesterday.
Went out at night at Guanoe's behest to club @ Double-O.
Had quite a blast juking to the beat until every ounce of energy
was milked out of my body.
Met Guanoe's friend...dunno what's her name though.
Sent her home first, went home to pick up my bike to send Guanoe
back. Got stuck at Number 1 market thanks to the rain and as a
result, arrived home at 5am...
Haven't had night life for a long while...

Been missing her really badly these few days... :(
Even pretending doesn't seem to work anymore.

Plan B

Went for my 2nd 2A lesson today.
Wa shiok...corner take take all...haha
Passed, barely. Still not used to the bumpy course.

Went out with XL, Shere and Candice. In typical fashion, Gail tried to
fly our aeroplane again. Really....Shere calls her plan B coz she's his backup.
I call her plan B coz when I meet up with her, I need backup plans.

Got caught in the rain with XL. Tried Honey Banana prata...mmmMM~

Exodus

1st 2A lesson today...following the one I foolishly missed
two days ago.
Arrived late...I actually had plenty of time to spare, but didn't want to cool
my heels at BBDC and so stayed home...a little too long.
Went to take my bike...the 1st 2A bike I've laid my hands on. Honda Hornet 250.
Relatively easy to push. Hard to kick side stand. Clutch a tad too near. Sound?
Orgasmic~! Fooommm~...fooomm...~
No drony and draggy 'ppeeeeehehhhhh...piak piak piak' from the cheesy 2B
sportsbikes.
Handling? Fwoah~!! The bike gave me the confidence to go down lower than
I've ever been on my KRR. Back end was stable and was as if it was pinned to
the ground.
Initially I wasn't used to the clutch and kept having to restart my engine. As I got
into the flow of things, I became the only trainee able to keep up with the instructor
as he showed us the course we would be doing for the day. Slope? No problems.
Turning, safety checks, positioning, lane changes? No problems there either...

I buanged on my 2nd attempt on the narrow plank tho...wasn't used to the sudden
delivery of power and the huge difference in engine brake and went down the
plank thanks to the jerking. Tried to remount the plank and ended up losing control.
Slowly gained confidence on the pylon slalom.

After the lesson, I went to visit Uncle John to advise him on which schools they should
pick for Claribel. Seems the latter wasn't in a good mood...or didn't exactly want to see
me. Either way...her attitude kinda dampened the high I was in thanks to my 1st 2A
lesson.

Got a lesson at 9:50am tomorrow....haha better go sleep
Riding hard, fast, safely AND taking a few corners.

Dream World

I dreamt....that she came back.
I dreamt...that we were going to meet.
I dreamt...such a vivid image...of her...
That, when I woke up, abruptly,
I truly thought that I was to meet her..
I thought I'd overslept...that I was late...
Heart hammering, in a frenzied state,
Stumbling out of bed....
Fumbling with the toothpaste...
Realisation striking...that it was only a dream...just a dream...
Accentuated by the downward stroke of the toothbrush.

I miss her. Badly. Maybe that's why I dreamt she came back.

Became a cobbler today...fixed someone's slippers.

1st 2A lesson later...a bit kan cheong...

you are lemonchiffon
#FFFACD

Your dominant hues are red and green, so you're definately not afraid to get in and stir things up. You have no time for most people's concerns, you'd rather analyze with your head than be held back by some random "gut feeling".

Your saturation level is low - You stay out of stressful situations and advise others to do the same. You may not be the go-to person when something really needs done, but you know never to blow things out of proportion.

Your outlook on life is very bright. You are sunny and optimistic about life and others find it very encouraging, but remember to tone it down if you sense irritation.

You are a Gladius sword (a Roman sword). The
Gladius is a short sword, usually about 60 cm.
It is straight, and double-edged. Its tip is
the shape of a V. It is usually used for
thrusting, and mostly used with a rectangular
shield called a *Scutum.* The Gladius has a
good stability for stabbing. Like the Gladius,
you tend to hold back a little, but when
necessary, you can be deadly. Perhaps you have
been betrayed before, and shy away from others.
You can protect yourself quite well, both in
attack and defence, and you know how to take
care of yourself. You are a good individual,
but also a good team-mate with the right

ex angel
You're like an angel. As everyone knows, angels
dwell in heaven. They were desribed as shining
ones wearing white and the idea that they have
wings is believed as well. Guardian angels are
the ones that many people think are dead loved
ones who try to protect the living friends or
family they have on Earth. They usually had
blonde hair and maybe brown with flawless
appearance and sweet dispositions. They were
cheerful, hopefull, selfless, loving, and kind.
Angels are the one mystical creature that a
majority of people truly believe in. Encounters

Spiderman 2

Watched Spiderman 2 on vcd today...on my newly
repaired TV! Yaay...Wong came and fixed it today, but refused to accept
any cash from me. So pai seh...but my TV's working again.

Don't know why the critics beat this show down. Its superb. Illicits the
audience's sympathies towards Peter Parker's dilemma, his problems,
his difficulties and his emotions. The only let down was the ending...he
didn't really tear Doc Ock apart...the villian killed himself....

Went to Trader's Hotel where I had a buffet dinner with Mum, Grandma,
Daniel and Christabel. Really missed Christabel coz I haven't seen her for
so long. Gave in to Mum on our recent argument coz it made no sense for
me to allow her to go on being upset when it was in my power to remedy it,
even if I still don't feel that I am at fault. Saw Mr Manu's wife, Joyce and
his cute daughter Natasha. She's growing up to be a real babe. Haiz...if only
I was older when he passed away, then I could have made a bigger difference
and did what I wanted to do; provide whatever help and support I could toward
them. But now, I guess I wouldn't make a niggardy mint of difference. They've
moved on well enough.

Can't help but remember Mr. Manu and all he did for me. Where he is now,
he'll definately be happy, enjoying the rewards our Lord Father is heaping
on him, watching his wife move on, his daughter excel at her studies and
mature into this budding belle...but then...even thinking of him happy up
there does nothing to dull the grief I feel towards his passing...its not the
grief that alarmed Mrs Beh into asking me if I required councilling...but
it's still there. Mr. Manu, where ever you are, I'm going to remember you
for life. I'm gonna remember the words of advice you gave me for life.
And I'm gonna miss you for life. Now to find a corner and wait for the tears.
To stop.

Kukup

Pried myself out of bed at 6am in the morning to
get to school in the earliest time ever. Filled in my white card,
hopped on the bus, and it's off to Kukup we go...

For the 1st leg of the trip, I sat alone, unmolested by my erstwhile
colleagues. Then we arrived at Perling for breakfast. I thought RM60
was insufficient and went in search of a money changer. Changed at the
rate of RM228 for SG$100. Then joined the older teachers for a prata
treat by the ex-principal. Before I boarded the bus, Mr Song told me he
spotted another money changer further down the lane offering rates at
RM228.80 for SG$100....dui ah~

Visited a pewter ware factory and a store which supposedly offered
'local' products...but that particular store was situated in the middle of
nowhere, and we were like, the only customers around. I felt like a
carrot head walking in to get chopped. And so, I didn't get anything.

2nd leg of the journey was spent playing UNO and Heart Attack. Quite
fun, but the bumpy road made everyone nauseous and gameplay ended
prematurely.

Arrived at Kukup, had a ferry ride to one of the floating fish farms where
I saw the 'dog' shark, puffer fish, jelly fish (non poisonous ones...the lethal
ones have coloured tentacles..blue or something), and this really cute turtle.
I also saw the amazing archer fish. Imagine...the fisherman puts dead ikan
bilis on the ledge at floor level, and the water level is more than a metre
below. In order to dislodge the ikan bilis from the ledge, the archer fish
shoot a stream of water that's so quick, you don't even see it happen. And
from its position more than a metre below, the jets of water can hit the ikan
bilis accurately, and the remainding energy is sufficient to propel the water
to strike my throat with considerable force (I was standing behind the ikan
bilis...) Unfortunately...the fella who shoots the ikan bilis down never gets to
eat it; the others will wait for it to drop and pounce on it before the sharpshooter
can react.
Damn...I want an archer fish!!!
Noticed the exchange rate here was RM229 for SG$100.....dammit...
Had an inadequate seafood lunch, bought some keropok and blachan chill...the
latter leaked and stinked out my plastic bag.

Proceeded to visit a fruit plantation where I tasted the sweetest, most heavenly
honeydew and the best pineapple I've ever tasted. Enough of this quality of that
fruit and I might change my mind about boycotting it coz it cuts...

Had the duration at Giant cut down to half an hour by general consencious. Got
some onion rings, sweets, and the Mentos chewing gum. Saw different types of
cuttlefish in the clear display and went over to take a look. Saw those little
microwave-able round containers inside and, thinking they were there for me
to sample, I reached in, snagged a piece, and munched away. Chew chew...savour
and swallow. Next. Reach in, snag a piece, chew chew....as I was closing the cover,
I noticed that the salesgirl had suddenly walked over, and that there was this sign
on the cover that said 'No trying please'...something I had totally overlooked....
So bo pian...had to buy something. Bought a miserable 100g of the cheapest red
cuttlefish...

Went to the duty free zone at Eden...and couldn't find a single thing to buy. Super
dulanz...I changed extra money at a lousy rate and I don't get to use it? I couldn't
accept that, and so I ended up buying a car wash spray thingy...and 3 diesel t-shirts.

Headed home, discovered one of the chilli bottles was leaking.....$!%!@#$

Well.. Daniel's done with his O levels...haha...playing Burnout 2 even as I blog.

Ah well...tired. Miss her more than usual. Irritated by someone but won't say who.

No Mix

Went to school for the P1 orientation to help out with
the registration process. Ended up initialling only one parent's coz I had 'some'
trouble translating the form into mandarin for her benefit.

Went home to have an afternoon nap, during which Daniel came over to visit.
Got jio-ed by Bear to go to Double O, so pried myself out of bed at 9pm and
trotted down in the MRT to Bugis to meet Corn Soup and Fox_V.

My 1st serious clubbing session since I got my bike. If I didn't enjoy the last
outing with MZ and Invader @ that sleazy joint Cheeky Monkeys, I must say
I thoroughly enjoyed this session. Good retro music to set my mood straight,
good crowd (no xiao ah pi shaking their noggin' to techno trashies), real
cheap drinks...MZ wasn't kidding when he said this was a better place to hang
out. I've never really enjoyed at a joint, at least not this much. Gee, I may even
begin to like it.

There were a couple of bapoks trying to groove to the tunes...*puke*
Damn disgusting lor...I mean...if you're a man, act like a man. If you wanna act
like a woman, at least have the decency to look like a woman, and NOT like a
man in make up...ugh~
Was actually moving to the beat when they twirled into sight...and I suddenly
didn't feel like moving anymore... -_-'

And that's when I noticed this chick making eyes at me. She had this black
number on, with a dangerously plunging neckline that displayed her cleavage
to her best advantage, and she kept giving me those meaningful glances.
When I didn't respond, she started moving closer (while dancing) until she
was right in front of me. Maybe she was giving me an opportunity to pick her
up? By then, everyone with me had noticed, and were giving me little nudges.
I dunno if I was being over-sensitive or not, but when she planted herself in
front of me (back facing), her moves suddenly included a host of sexual overtures.
Well...one of the nudges was a little on the hard side and I lost my balance. Think
her friend got du lanz and pulled her off the dance floor, where she continued to
eye me and actually beckoned me. Wa...temptation resist mode on~! I should
be thankful I was stone sober at that time, or who knows what stupid thing I
might have done...still remember the time I cracked a half-boiled egg on the
table next to the plate and almost ate it from the table when I was boozed out
before.

This adds to the many times I've had to resist such temptations. It's not really
helping that I miss her so much, that I yearn for her...
Sometimes, when she rails at me for going out with other girls and stuff, part
of me does question the point of resisting all these temptations in order to
remain faithful to her, when she's so suspicious in the 1st place. I know.
She's suspicious and easily jealous because she cares for me, and doesn't
want to lose me. But still, it's pretty upsetting that I get accused of 'flirting'
around when I've actually rejected sexual overtures, whether overt or
explicit, on more than one occasion.
But still, knowing that she cares for me...that's what matters. Some will say
I'm stupid to have passed up such chances. Others will say that its very 'wasted'.
Me? I'll just stick to my principles and see how things turn out.
Frankly, I have the niggling feeling she'll be upset if she reads this. Upset that
there actually WAS a temptation for me. That there was the slightest possibility,
that I actually thought of it, much less struggled against those thoughts.
My only defence is, being human, and a male at that, my body is conditioned
to respond to such messages, whether I like it or not. Being a man, a physical
response is a reality. I only ask that she will consider the mental response,
and appreciate the effort that I took to resist, if anything.

I'd been drinking vodka the entire night, and made the mistake of taking a
sip out of Bear's bourbon coke. While my alcoholic tolerance was
uncharacteristically high that night (I only got 'high' while we were about to
leave), my stomach has never been able to stomach (forgive the pun) a
mix of two different types of liquor.

I woke up at 7am this morning, with my stomach churning and a slight
headache...maybe coz not enough sleep. Definately not a hangover coz
I didn't drink enough for that to happen. Ended up with the need to
output in the toilet every 5 minutes for the entire morning till noon.
Lesson learnt? No mix for me...

The Prize Goes To...

Did 'warden' duty for today's prize giving ceremony.
Was pretty amusing watching the kids as they ascended and descended
from the stage, trying to stifle a smile, failing, and trying again.
Damn cute lorZ...
Had sponsored lunch after that...and enjoyed a hilarious moment when
Zhao Fan actually went to take the entire canister of Ching Tng for the
ladies when one jokingly asked him to do so.

Went for a good round of riding after school, and reduced the size of my
chicken strips from a thumb's breadth to a pinky's breadth. YEAH~!

Went to church to have a talk with Mr. Lee. Apparantly he was concerned
about the YF's apathy in general about my inability to blend in. Especially
the incident when he joined us for lunch and witnessed Swi Lin cut me out
totally from the conversation. Ah well...I'm this close to that point where I
actually say 'fuck it' and cut out of BBPC...it'll work out better anyway if
I'm going to bring my dad back to Mt Carmel anyway. The camp'll decide
for me.

Went for a long run with XL. Could have run more, but the lousy shoe
gave me a blister on my left sole...couldn't even walk properly after that.

Overate again...miss her as usual... :(

Ruckus

Had to break up 2 fights in 2 consequtive periods.
1st one was something typical that developed from kid A accidentally
hitting kid B, and B retaliates, A retaliates harder and harder till it
A kicks B. I cuff B soundly, and turn to A, who struggles against me
but is unable to break out of my grip. After screwing him, he goes to
sit down, and cry. -_-'

2nd incident was from a problem kid. Even before I'd entered the class,
I'd already heard of him. But I didn't know who he was until much later
when Elyn came to relief me.
At first, a small ruckus as he kicks one kid's chair. I initially assumed it
to be something like the 1st incident, quiet them down, and leave them
alone. Then, he goes to kick another person's chair. I intervene, he runs.
I taunt him, saying 'you dare to kick, but the fastest to run away...very
'brave' right?'
He simply grins. And proceeds to pick a fight with one of the smaller
kids who, up till then, has been happily playing chinese chess with his
friends. Obviously, the smaller kid is cornered very quickly, but as I
stride over to intervene, he retreats. This time I chase, since he doesn't
respond to 'come here'. Cornered him at his seat, cuffed him, and told
him:" You're so big size, but pick on smaller people to fight. And you
run away so fast. Acting like a big sissy"...
I think as I turned away in disgust, he shot back a 'You lah!'...but wasn't
sure about it so I didn't respond.
Once I'm almost seated, he deliberately goes to start another fight.
This time, I seperate them, drag him aside, and make as if I'm going to
bring him to the Principal's office. He struggles, and I grip him even tighter.
Screw him good and proper, and release him. Warn him that I'll do something
if I catch him doing something funny. (If he did I'd probably have executed
some lock on him...) Caught him giving me dirty looks and told him:"You don't
have to look at me like that. Just go ahead, do something stupid. I'm just waiting
for you..."
Some of my math students helped by asking me if I was a policeman before.
Coz after that, he didn't give me dirty looks, was notably more subdued to the
point where Elyn, when she came back, asked me why he was so quiet today.

Got totally soaked out in the heavy rain in spite of my raincoat and boots.
Coz had to send XL to Woodlands to see Chipmunk. Gee...everytime she
cocks up something big time in their r/ship, I somehow get involved. No...
I'm not complaining. He is one of my best buddies after all. And that means
a lot coz I don't believe in a 'best of the best' buddy. Just that the 1st time,
it was raining too, and I had to walk...no...run in the rain to save someone
from the crocs at Lakeside. The rain was so heavy on my return trip that
my visibility was down to 5m, not helped by my mirrors and visor getting
fogged up. I went the wrong way coz I couldn't even see the road signs properly.
Almost kissed the rear end of a Merc who suddenly e-braked for no apparent
reason. Bloody p-plate blokes. Rode for a distance with my side stand down.
There was this lorry driver who kept honking me and pointing down to tell
me, but I didn't figure out what he was telling me and just gave him a thumbs up
sign. Found out later when I made a slight left bend and the stand scraped the
ground and snapped up. Even with my boots on, my socks were so wet I could
wring water out of it. I tried to dry my socks on my exhaust pipe, but there
was just too much water.

Cancelled my initial plan to go to Queensway to go to Jurong Point because
of someone's request. End up that someone couldn't show up. Ended up
meeting the Fool and getting Gale's present.

I feel so dull and listless now. Would have felt crankier given the soaking
I've been thru...but thankfully, while I was being doused like a wet chicken,
there was L'Arc~en~Ciel, Dir~en~Grey and T.M. Revolution to accompany
me.

Everything. Sux.

Everything seems to be going downhill.
I mean...emotionally.

Reason?

#1. Overslept and missed church again.

#2. As a result, Mum tried to contact me and couldn't. When I called her,
she told me it was too late...Christabel couldn't come over to see Ah Ma.
Resulted in an argument...which in turn resulted in a mental revisitation
of all that's happened in my family...

#3. Ah Ma's leaving tomorrow.

#4. I can't follow. Can't see my cousins as a result.

#5. She's leaving tomorrow. For a month..... :(

#6. All my friends are either in camp, overseas, or mugging for exams...

#7. I must wait 1 more year for my class 2...when there are so many juicy
deals out there...

Haizzz...at least I got to meet her today....and spent some time with her.
She managed to get me over #2....

Boing Boing?

Missed my lunch outing with my colleagues. Sux.
Wonder when I'll get my chance to blend in.
Wanted to go to Queensway to photostat the books, but before I could
step out of the door, the rainclouds unleashed its torrents...making it
impossible for me to ride.

Ended up going to Sim's place...on my way was caught in heavy rain again.
This time, my dad's bike's hot exhaust responded by vapourising any raindrops
that fell on it...the whole bike look like heaven sia...haha. Everyone was looking.

Went to Orchard. Saw Fiona 'Boing Boing' Xie with an unknown guy walking past
Heeren towards Centerpoint. After a 1st hand look...I think the media really
over-hyped the size of her breasts....not THAT big wat...I think it's proportionate
to her size...but that's just our humble opinion.

Genesis

Today is the start of a new chapter of my life.
The start of life as it is....with Class 2A !!!

School was the usual relief routine. Played Heli Attack 2 from miniclip with
the kids...I had a best score of 44 choppers downed...to their 24 best score.
Wanted to leave straight at 1:30pm but was prevented from doing so by the
torrent of rain. When the rain abated, I was again prevented from leaving...
seems there was this workshop on dylexsia. The only thing I learnt there
was what dylexsia actually was, and how to try and handle kids suffering from
it. The speaker kinda rushed through his words, which ruined the presentation.
He had this really cute assistant though...who fell asleep during the presentation.
Kept me occupied looking at the different comatose positions the assistant
employed during the 1 1/2 hr workshop.

Went to BBDC after that. Turns out I have $8.15 in my class 3 account, and it's
still active. But then I dunno if I'll waste the money on my membership. I actually
wanted to start on my 2A next week, but the earliest theory date available is on
the 29th...and I need to attend before my 3rd practical. So I decided to do my 1st
lesson on the 23rd so everything will go smoothly and I won't lose my touch on the
Hornet. Wooo...I can't wait!!! Although I've been so indifferent and lazy to sign up
before, seems like I managed to excite myself again by inputing visual stimulus
in the form of R6 wallpapers and screen savers...WOOOO~~~ YZF-R6 2005...
here I come!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaa

Spent some really quality time with her. Told her about my little fantasy...
No...you maniac...nothing to do with sex...it's the one where just me and my
gal are sitting on a bench, she in my arms, head on my chest...and we just simply
sit there...absorbing each other's presence. Maybe watch the scenary...or something
That ain't important. Just being together. Feeling each other's presence, the warmth,
the heartbeat, the breathing in...and out. That simple.

She's leaving on Monday...haiz...gonna miss her. It's gonna be doubly hard coz I can't
go back to KL and Penang to visit my cousins, and I suddenly miss them so much.
Especially Chai Choo....geeZ. And Hui Jun...
This sucks...

On my way home just now, just before the exit at Corporation Road, I saw this
TP officer overtake me. He cut ahead and signalled left and switched to the
extreme left lane. Just as he did so, the taxi ahead of him switched lanes without
warning into the Diversion's path...causing the officer to swerve in order to avoid
a collision. Immediately...red light flashes....officer points to road shoulder, shocked
cabbie complies.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. Fuckin' cabbie...deserves it man. Were it another normal road
user the taxi driver would have gotten away with his nonsense of changing lanes
without checking blind spot. He obviously didn't check his mirrors as well or he'd
have noticed the officer...I mean...on such a fat bike who doesn't notice? Somemore
white...
Just desserts man...
But that doesn't mean the TP don't suck either....

Hopefully can get 2A before school reopens.

Imagined Ecstacy

Imagine.
Sitting in a small, air-conditioned building. A pen in your hand.
You sign. On the dotted line. The one on the other end of the desk,
he hands you a set of keys, and a log card.
You take it, open the wooden door and step down...desending...
All this while, an intense excitement rises, bubbling from the pits of
your stomach.
Below, the mechanic pauses in his tinkerings and gestures towards IT.
The bubbling spreads into a kind of euphoria...you hardly feel conscious
of your steps. IT seems like it is drawing you towards IT.
You draw beside IT, not daring to touch IT...not even daring to breathe...
Afraid that after all this while, it is only a dream. But even if it is,
You don't want to wake up.
You reach out a hand, tentatively and touch the gleaming surface of the
fuel tank. The mechanic barks in rascuous laughter at your hesitance.
You lower your hand. Enjoying the sensation of smoothness the laquered
paintwork provides. Lovingly, you run your hands along the fairing.

You trail your fingers along the sideboards, and move forward, talking
in with relish the wicked headlight array.

You move down,
admiring the radial brake system...

Sucking in your breath at the inverted forks...

As you straighten up, your hand encounters the rubbery grip of the throttle.
You grip it, and swing your left leg over the seats, sitting on the seat for the very
1st time. The mechanic and the boss look on as you fumble for the keys,
struggling to keep the silly grin that keeps returning to plaster itself all over
your face.
Keys slotted in. Ignition switch on. The soft, mechanical "ee" sound as the
diagnostics open and close the EXUP valve. You look up. And come into eye
contact with the boss. He nods. Red start button. The coarse *ehhehehhhheh*
sound of the spark plugs firing in time...and then...."VROOOOOM~~!!!...HOHOHO"
IT comes alive. The tachometer leaps into action as you listen in extreme
satisfaction to the loud report of the Yoshimura exhaust canister...

Behold...
Your brand new YZF-R6...Ready for action!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh~~~

Or maybe a blue one?

Momma help me...I can't freakin' wait!!!!

Came across this website with interesting ideas on bike names...
Here are some examples..plagurised from his website.

Africa twin Ok supposed to inspire the type of bike for Africa works OK for the bike.

Bandit The marketing burp says ‘The most wanted’ Its not exactly a best seller so I don’t get it. But it has kinda of adopted the image as a hoon bike of choice till recently.

Burgman What ? Quite inappropriate really. It a scooter though so fits the really weird scooter names standard.

Deauville Sounds like dull you see.. but then the bike is kinda of appropriate … also sounds French, though I don;t see the French connection (ha ha - get it?)

Dominator Interesting name a bit over the top for this sort of bike though. Ie Single cylinder trail bike.

Diversion Interesting but I still don’t get it.

Drifter Very appropriate name for the bike. It is a cruiser after all !

Eliminator Interesting choice for this sort of bike but still not really appropriate. Ie cruiser style.

Fazer Has Star Trek conotations so unless the bike looks anything like a ray gun or space ship its not really going to work.

Fireblade Nice made up name and installs a good image for the type of bike.

Firestorm Interesting name but a bit over the top name for the bike.

Foresight Oh dear this is inapproapriate.

Freewind Pleaaaase this is a very silly name.

Goldwing almost appropriate but more gold trimming pls.

Intruder - Not very good choice at bit silly. Ie a cruiser.

Katana Sort of appropriate when the bike was released by now definitely NOT.

Marauder Pirate inspired obviously but as a cruiser Ie road version it doesn't fully work.

Majesty You have got to be kidding these are scooters you know.

Ninja Sort of competition to the Katana and Fireblade really, appropriate for the time but definitely not now.

Nighthawk This is totally inappropriate.

Pan-European Again an appropriate name though I think slightly over the top cause it also has former airline company aside from the more approprite 747 conotations to me.

Rebel This is not a very good choice and utterly inappropriate. Ie a cruiser available as a 250cc twin based on the CB250.

Thunderace A made up name with little association to the bike

Thundercat Another made up name with little association to the bike.

Trans-Alp European mountain crossing type bike seems approapriate.

V-Max Think this is a great name, suits the bike during its day in the sun.

Virago Interesting but again don’t get it.

Valkyrie The look is appropriate ie big bike and the female warrior conotation is interesting.

Interesting eh?

Beach Clean Up

Went to East Coast Park with my students to clock their CIP hours.
Cleaned up the beach and got my sandles all wet and sandy >_<

Went to fetch Ah Ma and 3rd uncle from Golden Mile. Ate rice balls while
waiting...the standard has apparently dropped. Tasteless peanut soup,
meagre fillings....but the smooth texture is still incumbent.

There's another wedding at Penang next month. I really really want to go,
miss my cousins so...but Dad's still in a sling and I got to take care of him.
Haiz...

I'm going for a ride...

Sorry about the short posts lately...tired both mentally n physically...

Indomitable Mountain

Yes, that's right.
That's EXACTLY how the pile of clothes I have to iron look like.

Ah ma's coming tomorrow...hurry hurry...

Argh~! Shouldn't have procrastinated.

Had another routine day at school. Sent her to Ritz, after which was stranded
by the rain at Marina Square where I passed time by trying to dry my socks.
Luckily I had L'Arc~en~Ciel, Dir~en~Grey and T.M. Revolution keeping my company.

Mental Marathon

Had the longest meeting ever. 8:30am till 2:30pm.
Lunch while meeting. And this on top of an entire week of insufficient Zzz...
I'm tired. Gonna sleep.

Lubed my chain today. Hope it doesn't rain tonight.

Shark's Tale

Went out with a couple of my kids to celebrate a birthday.
Treated them to Seoul Garden, but turned out to be a horrible idea;
seems they're vegetarian or something...they only ate vege, artificial
crab meat...and...heeeyyyy...they ate sausages...so they're not vegetarian
after all...And well..they ate very little. -_-'

Watched Shark's Tale with them. Simple storyline. Not really worth the
$8.50...better to watch on the weekdays. But the graphics were good.
Hell..the main character's voice is supposed to be done by Will Smith...
and honest-to-goodness, that fish looked like Will Smith. The femme
fatale whose voice was done by Angelina Jolie also looked like her. The
shark looked like De Niro...etc...haha.

Went to IMM to buy some tools, and then to Mah Motor's open house to
get myself an armoured jacket...or should I say a padded jacket. Got it for
$150 when it would normally have cost in excess of $200. Catch is, it's not
waterproof. Nice riding jacket, well ventilated when I'm riding..but when I
stop at a traffic light or something...hoootttt~~

Took Natashya out for a spin. Didn't really take the corners as hard as I'd
have liked thanks to traffic conditions. There's something different somewhere.
The bike gets super jerky once my RPM reaches 5k. Must go check it out.

Frickin' Brigands

Decided to take my Natashya to Orchard so I could wear out
the wax on the new tires. Clipped my helmet to the bike and took a bus
down to RELC. Spent the better half of the day there.

Upon my return to the carpark @ Scotts, lo and behold. My helmet wasn't
there anymore. My 2nd GPR and my only open face helmet stolen. I was
stuck. Couldn't go off without a helmet could I? Upon closer inspection, I
discovered marks left on my paintwork left by the screwdriver the thief
must have used to pry open my seat.

FUCKER~!!! Cheebye steal my thing still damage my bike. I tell you if I
see someone holding my helmet on the street, I'll let him taste it by ramming
it into his face, no questions asked. Or if I happen to see it while on the road,
well...it'll be ROAD RASH time. Bloody bastard...all of us are bikers, but he
still can do this kinda thing. Low life brigands like him do not deserve to even
touch a bike. Disgracing the biking community. PUI!!!

And so I was stuck at Orchard until Eugence came to accompany me and MZ
came to save me. Had kopi and listened as MZ told us about the colourful
characters in his platoon. Ah..for those old days...

On the way back challenged this mud moto to a race. He totally sucked; I caught
up at the corner and he lost to MZ. A KRR, losing to a RXZ. But after the exit he
wanna play pickup with MZ...bah~ that's bullying lor. I was about to catch up
when my throttle ceased to respond.....out of petrol. Wat the hell of an anti-climax
was that? My mileage has dropped from 202 on V-power to 161....wonder if that
thieving scum siphoned some of my fuel as well. I'll test to see if it's consistant.

Idol Judge

Relieved 6.1 today. Ended up being arrowed to be the friggin'
chief judge just because I was 'neutral', not having taught any of
the P6 classes.

And so I had the dubious honour of sitting through a myraid of performances.
Among the more notable ones was the winner for the individual category, who
sang 'Oh Carol'. Wooot~....that song was from even before my era. And someone
at 12 can claim it as his favourite song?
There was this kid who totally ruined Ronan Keating's "When you say nothing
at all"...he just stood there and droned the song. Turns out he was forced by his
teacher.
In the group category, there were some basic break dancers who won the title,
a group of girls who really grooved to the beat but kept repeating the same moves.
And a 'comedy' where 2 guys acted out as 1 narrator told jokes. Which was so
monotonous that noone laughed.

Found out today the reason why Zaiton didn't turn up for her exams. Her mum
passed away. The feeling must be so fucked up...losing someone so important to
you at such a tender age. Haiz~...

I met her today after school. She accused me of treating her like shit lately. And
so, taking Eileen n XL's advice, as well as regarding her encouragement towards
'communication', I went ahead and told her what was on my mind, that I thought
she'd treated me the same way in the past instead of backing down like I usually
do. She cried. Surprisingly, instead of stemming from me having hurt her feelings,
she told me she was crying because she realised how mean she'd been etc...
She told me she'd change, and during that short time we were together, did many
little sweet things for me. Guess I've more or less cleared the air with her. Things
should go back to normal I think.

Almost got killed while sending her home when this blur pickup driver moved off
when it was green light for my flow of traffic. Horned like crazy.

Clueless

I just realised how lost I am.

There are so many things I do not know.

And the best thing is,

I don't know that I don't know.

And I don't know what I'm supposed to know.

And if I don't know what I don't know, and I don't know what I'm supposed to..

How am I going to ask to clarify?

I don't even know what to ask.

Even listening to L'Arc~en~Ciel only serves to emphasize one thing;

I'm as lost listening to jap songs...don't understand most of the words.

Think I need some help.

Phoenix Down

I feel so let down. Disappointed. Deflated.
All the effort taken in preparing my lesson for the observation.
All the thought and organising. All down the drain.
They thought my lesson was a borderline pass or a fail. Not worthy
of admission to NIE.
Wtf...do they expect great things of someone who is untrained?

I do accept that I need feedback. I need to know how I am doing in order
to improve, quiaff? The other negative feedback I received in other areas
I took positively and worked towards improving myself in those areas.

But having done so much preparation, it really sucks when I hear the
principal telling me that there is not evident preparation. How would she
know? Was she beside me while I pored over the assessment books deciding
which text would be appropriate? Did she even know when I was wracking
my brains thinking up questions that would be appropriate to ask the pupils?
How to assess 'preparation' like that?

I feel so sick n disappointed. Like a phoenix whose flame of passion was initially
so bright, whose virulence and brilliance has been doused as it lies trampled on
the ground, leaving but glowing embers.

But like all other phoenixes...I will rise again. Show my indomitable spirit!

Maybe what I lack is not having seen how a teacher prepares for his or her lesson.
I've observed lessons aplenty. But preparation...hmmM~

This one term of teaching, the kids have taught me one thing; they have proven
the old timers right. That it is useless smiling and being friendly to build a rapport
with the kids. The little fuckers will mostly just climb over your head, ignore you
when you give instructions, try to joke it away when you show your anger..etc.

Next year...I'll show them how I treated the trainees back at TRACOM. I'll rear my
fierce, ugly visage; its better to have the kids fear you and listen and learn, than to
have them like you, build a bloody nest in your head and not pay attention.

I'll show em the indomitable spirit of the phoenix.

I'll show them the essence of the House of Ward~!

Haha sorry for all that imagery shit. Playing too much FFX and caught up
with my old Mechcommander days.

Glimpse of former glory.

Once upon a time, I was widely known. A long time ago...eons
it seems. Long before any of you reading this blog got to know me.

Once, I was the ilkhan.

I happened to be using the yahoo! search engine today, and was struck by a fancy.
And so I entered my nickname 'Metalfyre' and hit the search button.

And found
this link. (page done by Gunner/Overmars Kerensky)

Immediately, images of an age long past assailed my conscience.

A game of strategy and tactical acumen. Picture 'Mechs letting loose salvos of long
range missile before leaping forward from behind the cover of a dense forest to
unleash an energy torrent of extended-range lasers or a rain of lead from a pair
of heavy ultra autocannons on an unsuspecting enemy whose ability to detect
threats has been hampered by electronic countermeasures.
Mechcommander.

An online platform for multiplayer purposes. The Internet Gaming Zone

A league, for players to pit themselves against each other, to set standards
that each player strives to equal and outdo.
The Warrior's Hall League.

Enter Jal 'Metalfyre' Ward. Forms Clan Wolf. Absorbs Ulric's (Eugence)
Jade Falcons. Proceeds to build Clan Wolf to become the biggest and most
successful unit in the league. 90 over members at its peak. When Clan Snow
Raven comes the closest with 46 members, and their Khan started poaching
members of Clan Wolf, Metalfyre manages to convince the Khan to rejoin
and become a wolf again. He agrees, and brings over a huge part of his touman.
The remains of Clan Snow Raven seethe with rage, but in the ensuing battles,
their bitterness is quickly crushed along with what paltry forces they throw
at the wolves. Metalfyre becomes the ilKhan through political maneuvering,
and despite challenges to the authenticacy of his nomination, proves that his
right holds true and is elected the 2nd ilkhan of the league. (Which explains my blog title).

And then...

.

.

.

.

.

Mechcommander is no more.

Sigh....wish for the days where whenever I logged on to the Zone, everyone
knew me, greated me, and had something to say to me. If you look at the
scores you'll notice that I have a paltry 758.8 points, compared to some others
who have scores in excess of 2k.

Reason. No one dared to play with me. Except those who were really good,
which would mean other unit leaders who were in considerably shorter
supply than the normal members. Losing a game in the league would mean
a loss in % wins and a possible deduction of hard earned points if the game
led to an ignominous defeat. Which was usually what we (SHC and Eugence)
dished out.

****************************

Marked the math papers today. Just like in spelling, more than half failed.
5 students got single digit results. Primary school...and with such results.
I can't imagine.

I really roared at the class today. Railed at them...pissed me off some. Had
to turn to L'Arc~en~Ciel as usual to let off the steam.

Reunion (With my bike)

Invigilated the examinations. Had one nose bleeding case,
one merlion...one lau sai.
Headache arh...when I mark...the highest mark I've encountered for
the comprehension was 11 1/2 out of 20. The highest.
But the text was from an article out of the National Geographic. I feel
it was more than a little too abstract for the students. Especially at the
level they're at.

Went to get my bike. Thought since it stopped raining I didn't need
to bring a raincoat. Boy was I wrong...soaked all the way from Ah Lian's
to Bt Timah. The bike seems like it wants to dive into corners...dunno
why. Is it the tyres? Too much air? I'll check tomorrow.
The original exhaust really takes a lot out of my bike. Harder to hit
higher rev counts. Sputters when I reach 5k... -_-'

Weiquan brought me to Ah Lian's...had dinner together. Will probably
bring him to JB this week or the next.

I have to reflect on my lesson observation, come out with a list of
strengths and weaknesses. And meet with the principal on Wednesday.

Gee~...
