Beta

I've finally completed my Suzuki RGV Beta 2000 version.

HAHA SHIOK RIGHT?!?!?!

Went for physio today...the therapist thinks I'm improving well enough to come for bi-monthly appointments instead of going weekly. Hopefully my 14 Sept appointment doesn't clash with the teacher's training thingy they'd be having on that day.

By the way this new design is courtesy of PJ(Pyjamas).

Murmur

Went for the checkup this morning. There WAS a girl who I thought was going for the same checkup, but she was way ahead of me.
Initially thought of taking my bike to Jurong Point, park it there and then take the train to Bugis. But when I'd arrived at Jurong Point, I realised I didn't bring my wallet out. Geez...had to ride all the way there.
Could barely squeeze out the required amount for the urine sample even after taking a glass of water before setting out. I did a good crap tho...

Doctor detected a murmur in my heartbeat, which only surfaces when I am sitting down, not when I'm lying down. 2nd sound, diopic or dyleptic whatever...can't remember. Valve problem is likely.

Funny how it didn't surface during my CMPB checkup...did it come up only recently? Doc sez I should have it seen to only if I feel discomfort of out of breath for no reason, coz I managed to pull through NS with PES A no problem.

Chasing Shadows

My left arm so so sore I cannot straighten it out.
Went to church this morning, attended a few meetings. I'm slowly blending into the scene, or so I hope. We played some games and created something that looked like the map of the MRT out of straws when we were supposed to make something as tall as possible.

It seems that we can argue at the most obscure topics...like for instance a girl that she saw riding a old Suzuki Best...and whether she'd need lifts from guys trying to pick her up since she's so pretty. My fault though. I've always told myself to back in the climax of an argument and then explain later. But somehow I'm finding that policy increasingly difficult to adhere to.

Went to JB to pump petrol. Arrived at MZ's place only to find him gone and a message saying he'd be waiting at the Shell opposite Jurong PHQ. Arrived at the Shell after more than a couple of wrong turns only to find him gone and a message saying he'd left for JB already, try to catch up. Whizzed along the highway at an average speed of 140km/h without success, caught up with him at Caltex. Wtf...he's behaving as if I've never waited for him before, as if he's never been late before. In any case the reason I'm late more often than he is is because we meet at HIS place. Lets see who'd be late more if we started meeting at my place. Blah...

Poor Invader Sim...the breakup comes at the most inopportune time ever

Ravings

There's this crazy woman who opens her door more than a few times daily, stands at the doorway and starts spewing all manner of vulgarities and epithets. She started at 6am this morning....*moan*
I can't stand it!!! I could hear it when I was downstairs buying satay, not to mention living a mere 2 levels down from her own apartment. Argh!

One day I'll just go up with a chopper and shut her gab...

I can't straighten my left arm...argh..

Degeneration

My body's in a sad shape. Seriously. I look at my body and I can literally see it giving me this: :(
Went for the first full work out ever since my accident. For my right arm I could barely manage 3 sets of 20 reps of a barbell. Yes. Just the barbell without any weights. 0.5kg.
My left tricep had deproved from being able to handle a respectable 8 kg to a measly 5 kg. The 3 sets of 10 bicep curls at 8 kg totalled my left arm. I can barely type as it is.
And I look positively FAT. !$!$@#%
I couldn't swim that well without being able to stretch and give strong arm strokes, but that was the one thing I still could do fairly well. During the jog I intended to do 4km, but ended up walking the final 400m after being lapped twice by this track and field fella.
Now MZ can manage 5km+ without too much of a problem, can swim fairly well enough that I have a little difficulty at my present condition keeping up with him, and he does a hell lot more in the gym. I just can't help thinking that if that idiot Lee Yam didn't knock me down I'd be more or less in the same shape as he is now; able to flex his muscles and actually see the difference, having relatively healthy lungs despite the fact that he's smoking...etc. I just feel like dissing that arse Lee Yam to no end.

And so I will.

Ohh yeah...he's probably not as bad as the gas bag, but wtf...he'd already knocked me down, caused considerable damage to my bike, caused a huge disruption in my time schedule, caused more than considerable damage to me, which resulted in extreme pain and inconvenience stretching for possibly till half a year, and he had the bloody cheek to ask me why I was speeding when I had only just turned out of my carpark...

Eh lao eh....just exit carpark HOW TO SPEED you idiot?!? You think my kips is R1 izzit?!?!? HELLO??!?!!?!

And to top it off, he sends me this claim for the damages to his bloody car...$878. Probably the charge to hammer out the dent I made. Bloody idiot...If I pay that it means I'm paying him $878 plus the damages to my own bike (which likely come up till $1k...c'mon 30 bloody parts needed replacing!), the bloody hospital bill, my torn nike shirt, the months of pain and inconvenience, the months of prior training that has all gone to waste, the months of being denied certain food, the possibility of future complications physical-wise, the bloody ba kua(s) and the fractured clavicle, the trauma my loved ones went through, the breakdown in relationship with my mum due to this etc etc. Get the picture? I'll show him my arse in his face before I pay a single cent!

Some people just don't have a conscience.

Pivot Point.

Shere's proposed idea fell flat on its face when I arrived early at the briefing; I'd arrived far too early to select prospective targets to sit next to! In any case, where Shere promised me there would be plenty of pretty teachers-to-be, my briefing was full of mid-career ladies and a smattering of guys. Yes. I said ladies. Only one warranted a second look and I couldn't even be sure of her age. Signed the bloody bond. Signed the OSA again. Gee...once again I wonder if this is the correct step to take; the degree isn't confirmed.

Met Shere after the briefing. Played the AvP game...haha at least there the yautja ain't as pussy as the ones in the movie, Hunter though they may be. Ate at the foodcourt and added way too much black sauce in my chicken rice. That's what you get when you lay off the black stuff for more than a month. I WANT MY CHAI TAO KUEH!!! I WANT MY CHAR KUEH!!! I WANT MY KUEH CHAP!!!! But I don't wanna grow fat :(

Damn!!

On the way to meet Shere I was ogling this spunky Mitsubitshi Evo VII that had almost the same mica blue tone as my bike at this cross junction between the road towards Clementi Ave 6 and Boon Lay Way. Then *drum rolls*...the not so spunky driver couldn't pull of his u-turn in one sweep and had to reverse twice to make it all the way...causing this poor uncle to jam the brakes on his Yamaha RD. Ya almost neglected to mention that that poor uncle was wearing a funky yellow and black full-faced helmet on his RD. Woohoo~!!

Think I'll just do my RGV now...
Riding hard, fast, safely AND taking a few corners.

Angst sounds like Anger.

Sometimes it sucks when I have to decide which place to stay. Whether I should put certain things here, or there. Whether I should base myself at Boon Lay, or the Madeira. It simply sucks. Either way I stand to lose something. At Dad's, no interaction with Daniel and Christabel. Mum's would be more shiok, but I can't leave Dad alone can I? At Dad's I'll have more privacy.
At Mum's, I'll have more convenience. At Dad's I can ride indiscriminately. ARGH!!! Dammit sometimes I really wish I didn't have to make that bloody choice. Sometimes I just bloody damn wish I just had one big happy home.

I'll be late if I don't go to bed now...

I HATE MY TV!!!(New guiness record of a new tv requiring maintainance due to breakdowns twice in less than half a year from date of purchase...)
The last time it was too bright...some socket burnt out or something. Now its so bloody dark I can't see shit. AND I was actually completing the Hanzo Hattori stage that would have unlocked one of the stages! @#$@#!%#%!^...

Lesson learnt? Never trust Mustafa goods..

Overslept Vol. 2

I overslept again. Missed the lectures I was supposed to crash. Gee...but then again this time was because of a dream. I dreamt that I was going to get married to Adeline.

It was kinda hilarious...in the dream I think I told my mum that I would be getting married and she immediately made arrangements to go to Malaysia to have my wedding dinner there. We immediately took the coach and arrived at some restaurant where we waited for my dad. Because the wedding was so last minute and stuff, my mum only booked 2 tables for the wedding and even then I was wondering if those 2 tables could be filled. Then I started panicking because I remembered I hadn't even proposed to Adeline yet, and it also suddenly occurred to me that she would probably want a grander wedding feast than one consisting of a paltry 2 tables. Just as I was thinking how mad and disgusted she was going to be, and how she might actually say 'NO' to me, I woke up.

She thinks its sweet I dreamt what I dreamt, maybe its because I missed her so much, but then again I didn't really meet her in the dream...

Overslept Vol. 1

Been a hectic day. Woke up late for YF. At first I thought the alarm I'd set in my phone didn't ring, but thinking back I have this image of me stepping off bed to switch off the alarm...*whoops*.

Went for the meeting which took 2 hours. Went with Daniel to Madeira, with his assurances that Mum would be there at that hour. Guess what...when we'd reached there after trudging in the hot 31 degree weather, Mum was still at Park Mall. Gee...

I was the 1st of our family to sleep in our Madeira apartment.

I dropped my phone somewhere on the way home and this kind Indian lady actually took the trouble to call my mum to let her know how I could get my phone back. I'll let you know the kind lady's name when I'm not so tired. Gave her this box of dried mango treats but I think I'll drop by during Deepavali to thank her properly.

Went back to church to pick up my bike. Ended up at the carpark for almost an hour coz Adeline called me. Gee I really really miss her..

Now I can vote, watch R(A)...

I'm officially 21yrs one day old...actually less than a day but ah well. *shrugs*
Been one of the most 'normal' birthdays after 3 very special ones planned by Adeline. One might say that this is the culmination of the phrase 'familiarity breeds complacency', or you could also attribute it to the fact that Singapore so so small that almost everything that could be done can be done in 3 years. After which there's nothing else left.

Called MOE in the morning but the lass wasn't in. 15 minutes later she called me and told me to turn up on next Tuesday morning. I ain't gonna screw THIS one up man...Got messages from a motherload of YFers...something initiated by Richard. Was rather perplexed at first coz I didn't even know some of them and there they were wishing me a happy birthday.

Met Adel in the train. She was rather pissed coz I made her wait for pretty long. Another justification that female minds work in a completely different way than we poor unsuspecting males expect. I mean if you tell me that you want to meet at Clementi WHEN you are already leaving and I'm not even ready yet you gotta expect to wait quite a while right? Wrong. At least, to girls its wrong. But ah well...I'm hardly a punctual person and I've made her wait many times before; not a good thing for a guy to make a girl wait. But I do it.

She also got worked up over my loss of my handphone pouch, or the fact that I forgot that it was her that paid for that pouch. Gee she got worked up over a couple of things today and to tell the truth I got rather nonplussed. But things were more often than not my fault. When I read back what I'd typed before I realise I've made my girlfriend sound so unreasonable. But she's not. She's sweet, thoughtful and adorable.(Especially when she fell asleep on my shoulder...that was dangerously sweet...) And I love her. Ahh...one of the many paradoxes of life.

We went to Marche's for lunch, where she had her 'favourite' bread while I had pasta, lousy teppanyaki and the world's most expensive root beer. Took neo cards at the arcade, and had dinner at KFC, where we got a bonus meal. We had a choice between a $8.75 combo with 2 drinks, 2 cole slaws, 2 whipped potatos, 2 pc chicken and a bandito pockett, and a $8.95 one that was more or less the same except it didn't have the bandito pockett and had 4 pc chicken instead. We decided on the former coz we had a late lunch (4pm). But when I presented the coupon, what I got were 4pc chicken AND the bandito pockett at $8.75. Heh...

We met Invader Sim who was spending the last available moments of his civilian life with Charmaine, and passed him the prickly heat powder. Spent the last few hours of my birthday at his place to accompany him and then returned home.

Some people say turning 21 is the transition from child to adulthood. The key to an independant life. To me it was just another day. Experiences make up your transition from child to adulthood, not the amount of time you've spent breathing on this earth.

Thank You GOD!

From Boy to Man

Its my birthday. My 21st birthday. I was in the cab, suffering from a mild headache you get when the driver's sucky clutch control jerks the taxi around like a wild bronco. Got messages from Cheng Ai during the movie, from MZ, Wanlin and Jeffrey.
The movie wasn't that bad...Alien vs Predator...considering the yautja were more than a little weak...two killed by the alien scum in the matter of minutes. The last one got himself planted by a facehugger. Wtf...those 3 weren't really ready for the blooding if anything went. Other than that...the plot was ok but inconclusive.
Farenheit 9/11 that I watched on Tuesday was much better. Very good in fact. Michael Moore practically forces the audience to arrive at the conclusion he wants. That's the way an argument should go!
Seems like MZ's still mad at me. Seems like he gave me the cold shoulder today. Whatever...I already apologised and if he's going to act sensitive like a girl so be it.
Went down to MOE HQ to settle things and the officer in charge of the recruitment wasn't around. Have to call tomorrow. *keeps fingers crossed* Hope I get it....God...help me get it!
Invader Sim's going into Tekong tomorrow...with his friend Terence. Shouldn't have as bad a time as I used to have back in my day. So much has changed in 2 years...
Turns out the new DY in Tracom is dad's old squadmate. What a stroke of luck. Ah well...

Turning 21 ain't all as they hype it up to be...

Fucked Up Day

Been one of the worst days of my life, emotionally speaking.
#1. Went to school for nothing; the LT was full
#2. Left my bike keys on my bike; luckily this kind soul passed it to the nasi lemak seller for safe keeping and taped this note on my mirror. Bless him man..
#3. Tennis session catastrophe; irked the coach with some ballooned shots and sat on the bench for most of the session.
#4. Had every syllable I uttered totally misunderstood in the worst way by my girlfriend, who's supposed to understand me the most.
#5. Out of breath due to lack of food n training after interval sprints.
#6. Due to #5 couldn't talk to MZ, who immediately assumed I was showing him black face and sped off without me. Went to his house coffeeshop but he didn't want to come down to clarify things.
#7. Expiry of NIE offer; Was so happy when I saw that letter, until I realised that they'd mailed it on the 4th of August and it expired in the 11th....

FUCK.

Let's see how my 'appeal' goes tomorrow...

Conclusion

I guess it was really a misunderstanding....got a reply trying to explain.
Me and my emotional self....

Riding hard, fast, safely AND taking a few corners.

Backlash

From today onwards, I shall make it an effort to blog daily. I may look back on this entry in the future and 'bah' at myself but well....
I realised some of my earlier entries are missing -_-'
I realised some kids have blogs that are more attractive, interactive and lively than mine own.
I realised I no longer know how to make my blog, or any webpage for that matter, attractive.
I realised my old temper is returning.
I'm pissed at people from church. Sometimes I don't know why I'm pissed at them but I am. Should I just throw this down and walk away? Seems so easy. Why is it so easy for them to irritate, frustrate and anger me when I'm supposed to have made my fuse so hard to light?
Do I tolerate? Do I lash out? All this reason vs. emotion shit that goes around....argh~!!
Someone said it was a misunderstanding. Even so, God made me able to get angry, and given the right circumstances I will. And these people provided the right circumstances. So what now?

MZ says I should change my ride and Weiquan agrees. (Oh yeah...finally got to meet Weiquan after so long. He's riding a RS-125 Aprilla Replica). He thinks my bike's not suited for me coz I've been in 5 accidents for the past 1 1/2 years of riding. But of all those, the 1st was due to my poor judgement and mental reaction, the 2nd was because of poor anticipation and again mental reaction, the 3rd...ok la was unlucky but I could have continued behind that Space Wagon, the 4th could have been avoided if I didn't speed up, and the last...well. 1 unlucky accident of the lot. But still, Dad thinks I shouldn't change my ride.

Copied

Did u know?
Did you know that when you envy someone, it's because you really like that person?Did you know that those who appear to be very strong in heart, are real weaklings and most succeptible?Did you know that those who spend their time protecting others are the ones that really need some one to protect them?Did you know that the three most difficult things to say are : I love you,Sorry and help me The people who say these are those that actually need them or really feel them, and they are the ones you really need to treasure, because they have said them.Did you know that people who occupy themselves by keeping others company or helping others are the ones that actually need your company and help?Did you know that those who dress in red are more confident in themselves?Did you know that those who dress in yellow are those that enjoy thier beauty?Did you know that those who dress in black, are those who want to be unnoticed and need your help and understanding?Did you know that when you help someone, the help is returned in two folds?Did you know that those who need more of you are those that did not mention it to you?Did you know that it's easier to say what you feel in writting than saying it to someone in the face? But did you know that it has more value when you say it in the face?Did you know that what is most difficult for you to say or do is much more valuable than anything that is valuable that you can buy with money?Did you know that if y ou ask for something in faith, your wishes are granted?Did you know that you can make your dreams come true, like falling in love, becoming rich, staying healthy, if you ask for it by faith, and if you really knew, you'd be surprised by what you could do.But don't believe everything I tell you, until you try it for yourself , if you know someone that is in need of something that I mentioned of,and you know that you can help, you'll see that it will be returned in two folds.

School Starts

I just woke up. Would you believe it? 15 hours of sleep! Gee...and I still have my eyebags. Can't believe it.
School's started...this is the 2nd week already and I haven't gotten a reply from NIE. Looks like I gotta gear up for 3 years of study here. Met 3 friends. All guys. One is damn brutal. During the math lecture the lecturer said since the guys have been in NS for 2.5 years and haven't been in touch with books and stuff, we should get help from our female friends. During the break this friend (who will remain unnamed for his benefit) said "very stress lehz...I think we really need the girls' help. Come lets get to know them!" With that he just gets up and makes to walk over.
Fierce rite?

sorry too lazy to blog properly...

The Crossroads

School supposedly starts today...but I'm still at home. Ah well...wonder if NIE's gonna have me or not. Hmmm I saw Zatoichi's cane-sword in e-bay...wonder if I should go for it...or ask Caesar's whether they have the stock for that. I'll probably blow my first pay on a hefty greatsword or katana.
In a swirl of dilemmas...should I stay with mum or dad? Should I even continue riding once my clavicle recovers? Should I stay with UOL or withdraw if NIE accepts me? Should I stay or should I go? Gee sounds like Dream FM's song...
I feel like.....like plunging my head wildly into cold water, shaking it wildly around in the hopes that I can get some conviction on which path I should take. All these are important, pivotal decisions to me. On one hand, staying with mum would be more beneficial for me. All the working out facilities would be at the Madeira. It's gonna be much more conducive for studies over there as well. But if I do go for NIE its gonna be further away...that is *if*...another decision for later. ARGH~~...on the other hand dad's all alone. And my room with him is already furnished...but then again mum's already furnished my room at her place as well. How? HOW??! I can't leave dad alone...I can't leave mum alone...And then...if I continue at UOL its gonna be so much shorter...3 years down the road at mid 2007 I'll be a graduate with a degree...but its gonna be tough as the exams are make-or-break type. If I go for NIE it wouldn't be so chor for my parents pocket...heck I can even pay some of the bills to lighten the load. Erm...but which one? Pay for dad or mum? Argh...another decision! Dammit I'm getting really sick of this. NIE's gonna be for 5 years, since it doesn't start till next year and its gonna stretch for 4 years if I'm gonna go for the degree. 2009. Sounds like damn far away. Scary.......gee.
As for riding...there are ppl who tell me the most recent accident is God's way of telling me I shouldn't be riding. But others tell me that God wouldn't 'tell' or punish me in that way. And I do see many other Christians riding....not like riding a bike is a sin or vice like smoking...heck Mr Lee from YF rides around. And heck...I enjoy riding. Not racing and taking fast corners...just the simple act of riding my bike with the wind blowing in my face. And the vision of the postman-eating R6 is just too vivid to give up just now. Does riding a bike automatically mean I have a death wish? Gee!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!!

I'm just going crazy...

Recovery

Ah well....not too bad considering the speed of recovery I've been enjoying. Just 3 weeks and I'm out of my sling. Would probably be able to start jogging again next week. School's starting...and I don't even know my schedule yet. Damn..

Its raining so heavily...nice weather to sleep. Think I'll do just that.

The clouds are just like cold, wet towels God wrings when it suits his whim...
